Xdrift Industries provides practical engineering and CAD support for automotive, motorsport and industrial projects. Services include reverse engineering, 3D modelling, manufacturing drawings, STEP, IGES and DXF file preparation, component cataloguing, fabrication support, structured project workflows and rapid prototyping through 3D printing. Each project is developed around the component, manufacturing process and intended application, with clear documentation prepared from initial concept through to production-ready information and accurate manufacturing quotations.

Reverse engineering and 3D modelling
Existing components, samples, incomplete drawings and measured assemblies can be converted into accurate 3D CAD models. The process considers fit, function, material, manufacturing method and assembly requirements, allowing parts to be reproduced, refined or incorporated into larger projects.
- Component measurement and geometry capture
- 3D solid and assembly modelling
- Reconstruction from samples or incomplete drawings
- STEP and IGES file preparation for CNC machining
- DXF preparation for laser cutting, plasma cutting and CNC profiling
- Finite element analysis for comparative stress, deflection and design-development assessment
- Design refinement for manufacture and assembly

Comparative finite element analysis used during design development. Results depend on the defined materials, constraints and load cases.

Suspension geometry and kinematic analysis
For suspension projects, key chassis, subframe, control-arm and steering pickup points can be mapped into a three-dimensional kinematic model. Xdrift has used SusProg3D to study wheel movement through suspension and steering travel, compare geometry changes and refine pickup-point locations before fabrication. This process was used during development of the Falcon V1 and V2 suspension systems, including the custom front subframe and Nissan S14-based steering geometry.

Manufacturing drawings and production documentation
Clear manufacturing information can be prepared to support machining, laser cutting, fabrication, assembly and supplier quotation. Drawings and supporting files are developed around the selected production process, with critical dimensions, materials, tolerances and revision information documented as required.
Larger projects can also be managed through a structured workflow incorporating component numbering, revision control and coordinated supplier documentation.
- Dimensioned component and assembly drawings
- Material, finish and manufacturing specifications
- Critical dimensions, fits and tolerances
- Parts lists and component identification
- Drawing numbers and revision control
- STEP, IGES and DXF files matched to the drawing package
- Supplier-ready documentation for accurate manufacturing quotations

Rapid prototyping and design development
3D-printed prototypes can be used to assess fit, clearances, assembly sequence and general form before committing to machined, laser-cut or fabricated production components. Feedback from prototype testing can then be incorporated into the CAD model, drawings and manufacturing package before accurate supplier quotations are obtained.
- 3D-print-ready model preparation
- Fit-check and assembly prototypes
- Clearance and packaging assessment
- Design revisions following prototype testing
- Preparation of production-ready files and drawings
- Supplier quotation packages based on confirmed designs
