Xdrift Industries was established in 2019 by co-founders Danny Probert and Larissa Jones. Danny is a trade-qualified fitter and machinist with more than four decades of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and repair, automotive repair, motorsport fabrication, machining, CAD and product development. Larissa brings extensive logistics experience developed through her service with the Royal Australian Air Force, contributing structured planning, coordination and practical project organisation. Together, they combine workshop knowledge, design capability and logistical discipline to develop components and engineering solutions that can be manufactured, assembled and used in the real world.
Practical engineering, developed hands-on
Xdrift approaches each project by considering how the component will function, be manufactured, assembled, installed and maintained. CAD modelling and analysis are supported by practical experience in machining, fabrication, repair and motorsport development, helping identify real-world issues early and refine designs before committing to production.
Developed through real-world motorsport engineering
Xdrift’s product development began with the V1 independent rear suspension subframe, created to improve rear-end grip in the Falcon chassis. Key suspension points were adopted from the AU Falcon IRS because of its linear wheel movement. Once the rear suspension was completed, the lack of suitable steering-lock solutions for the Falcon chassis led to the front chassis rails being removed and refabricated 60 mm inboard to provide adequate wheel clearance at full lock. A custom front subframe was then designed, fabricated and installed to support Nissan S14 front suspension geometry, an S14 steering rack and a readily available lock kit.
The V2 system was the next stage in making the IRS package easier to reproduce while addressing limitations identified in the original design, including single-shear rear toe-arm connections and excessive factory anti-squat geometry. The proven reliability of the resulting driveline package then led to development of the R200–M86 conversion system, followed by the later R86 raised-differential design.
Engineering that works beyond the screen
Xdrift is focused on engineering that can be manufactured, assembled, installed and maintained—not design for presentation alone. Concepts are developed with real materials, available manufacturing processes, component access, serviceability and the intended operating environment in mind. This helps turn practical ideas into repeatable products and clearly documented one-off solutions.

Discuss your project
Whether the requirement is an automotive component, suspension system, reverse-engineering task or industrial solution, Xdrift approaches each project with practical experience, structured development and clear communication. Photos, drawings, measurements and information about the intended application will help define the project and the most suitable next step.
